Neyborly – Physical

Overview

Accessing space for meetings and events is expensive, inconvenient, and inconsistent.

Neyborly is a network of turnkey, tech-enabled storefront spaces that can be rented by the hour, day, or month.

Neyborly creates space that enables people and businesses to gather conveniently, affordably, and without friction.

Neyborly wants to rethink how it can utilize vacant ground floor real estate to revitalize communities and invigorate vacant storefronts.

One of my roles at Neyborly was to create a System that enabled us to build on brand spaces efficiently and flexibly.

What are we solving for

The initial measurement and documentation process starts after we get the keys.

A team is sent to the location to gather photos, videos, and sizes of the space. Design documents are created using all of the measurements and assets of initial space measurements and floorpans.

Planning  the buildout

The initial measurement and documentation process starts after we get the keys.

A team is sent to the location to gather photos, videos, and sizes of the space. Design documents are created using all of the measurements and assets of initial space measurements and floorpans.

These documents include: Plants and Layout Artwork and Layout Colors and Layout Signage and layout Extras, e.g., Lamps, light fixtures, benches, blinds, curtains, sink, speaker, etc. and layout of all.

We use a design document to convey the correct information to the installers and contractors. We display this information in a way that makes for easy understanding.

We use a system of numbers, shapes, arrows, and color to convey what goes where. Along with a set of notes and a render if possible.

Measure With LIDAR

We needed a way to quickly and accurately measure new spaces so that we could create a plan for build out. I utilized LIDAR and Canvas By Occipital to create scan to CAD files that would let us design the spaces digital.
